You're experiencing performance issues after upgrading your SSD. It's possible that the larger capacity drive affects system responsiveness or causes the OS to allocate more resources, leading to slower startup and disk activity. Consider checking for firmware updates, ensuring proper cooling, and verifying that the new drive is recognized correctly by the system. If the problem persists, running a disk cleanup or monitoring usage might help.

The PC took a long time to start because you swapped in the new drive and it needed to finish all background tasks before showing up. The slowness could also come from the slower performance of the new storage device. You should expect more specific information soon, but that's the 304.8 meter update.

It's not always ideal, but sometimes you have to reinstall Windows from the beginning rather than copying a boot disk. There could be residual driver files that clash with new hardware and the operating system. Regarding performance, even a WD Blue drives tend to outperform the connection for both reads and quick writes. If you're handling big data volumes, you might notice some delays because the write buffer fills up, which is common across all SSDs. Let me know if you need more clarity!

Ensure the SSD operates in AHCI mode within BIOS, not IDE. Use CrystalDiskInfo or a similar tool to verify the drive is healthy and matches the correct SATA speed (SATA III 6Gbps). A faulty clone might keep Windows busy with indexing or background work, making disk usage appear full. A fresh Windows installation on the new SSD can help eliminate this issue. Also confirm you have the most recent chipset and storage drivers for your motherboard.
