The front red light indicates the CPU, the third is VGA and the last one is boot. We've already checked re-seating the M.2 slot, CPU and cables, re-seated RAM, and possibly the GPU. Specs include 5800x, MSI Mag B550 Tomahawk with WiFi, 6950XT, 16GB Corsair Vengeance 3600MHz, MSI Mag Core Liquid P240 AIO, SNAP-ERO 1TB, MSI MPG A850G. Updated November 27, 2022 by ansh194537865

Determining if it's a brand-new build or a previously functional system involves checking for signs of recent repairs, missing components, or unresolved issues.

Have you verified the BIOS version matches the Ryzen 5000 compatibility? It’s unlikely a recent B550 board lacks such support, but it’s possible you have an older model. Would checking the CMOS reset help?

Check the CMOS settings to see if BIOS flashback is available. If it is, follow the instructions in your device's manual to enable it.

The bios flashback feature allows updating the BIOS without requiring a compatible CPU. CMOS reset is achieved by connecting the CMOS pins on the motherboard in a short circuit. Refer to your manual for specific instructions related to your motherboard, locate the CMOS Reset setting.

The video employs a B550m Mortar setup, yet the approach applies to your system too. For updating the BIOS via the button, refer to page 11 in the manual and page 27 for the CMOS reset instructions.

Start with a CMOS reset attempt. If unsuccessful, proceed to update the BIOS. We're working through possible causes one by one. If neither of those applies, it might be easier for others to find a solution. Unless you'd like me to immediately conclude that the motherboard or CPU/GPU/SSD is faulty.

I performed this action, but it keeps repeating the same process. The CPU indicator lit up for about five seconds, then switched to VGA and stayed lit for five seconds before staying on during startup. I kept the screwdriver on the two pins for roughly twenty seconds.
