Hello everyone. I acquired an old Compaq 010271-001 revA slot 1 motherboard with an i440bx chipset, hoping to finally test my slot 1 CPUs. So far, the board powers on, but the CPU gets warm without any beeps or clear signals. I've tried various CPUs—two Pentium II Klamath and two Pentium III Katmai—and different RAM, video cards, and speed settings, yet nothing appears on the screen. I’m uncertain if the board automatically sets the FSB speed, as it supports both 66 and 100mhz but lacks a manual toggle. I don’t know if I missed something or made a mistake, so I’ll share some photos of the board on my bench. If anyone has suggestions on how to fix this, please let me know.
