I'm seeing unusually high CPU temperatures while gaming, especially on my 360 AIO. At the moment I'm using an ASUS B760F Gaming Wi-Fi board and have turned off the ASUS Core Enhancement features, which means it's now sticking to Intel power limits. I've also adjusted some settings on the motherboard—based on a forum suggestion—that helped a bit, since my previous CPU was reaching 1.4V without any warning. Some specific tweaks include:

- Microcode - 0x104
- Actual VRM Core Voltage - Auto Global Core SVID Voltage - Off
- Offset - minus (-) 0.1
- Cache SVID Voltage - Offset - minus (-) 0.1

I noticed my 73C reached 197.90W during Ghost of Tsushima in 4K. The real temps are around 20°C, which is a bit higher than expected considering the outside temperature. Other specs: 32GB DDR5 6400MHz RAM, CL 32 from Kingston Fury Renegade RTX 3070, 2TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD, Corsair MP600 Pro MSI A850G PSU, NZXT H7 Flow RGB case with four fans (one rear, three front).

Attached I'll include a screenshot of the system monitor after playing Ghost of Tsushima.

Also, I've changed the CPU thermal paste about three weeks ago and used Arctic MX4 paste. The Intel mounting plate came with the AIO and I made sure it was secured properly.

Thanks for taking the time to read, and I hope this helps!

The 73c pulling around 200 watts fits what I expect, especially with your 12900k on a 360 airhead. The temperatures look normal, so there doesn’t seem to be a problem here. You might want to check underclocking or lower power limits, but since everything is within range, it’s probably not an issue.

Well 73c and 200W on a 13600k is just normal, you don't have any issue really

Hey, if it bothers you, consider undervolting; the CPU handles 90°C well, so no major concerns. Stay safe!

I wasn't expecting this to be typical! It's strange since it's a 360° air intake, but that's fine. Appreciate the update!

Your AIO is configured for intake or exhaust? Yes, understanding the settings is important before making assumptions. For example, what should be the typical performance at 13.6kW? I was trying to clarify why you considered 73c elevated, but you seemed more concerned about the temperature without explaining the reasoning.

I believed it was high since it's a fairly high value and near 90 instead of something like 63°, which matched my expectations for this CPU+AIO setup. The site mentions they come in push configuration, meaning the fans are already mounted. Are these exhaust fans or intake fans?

I’m adjusting the voltage on my CPU to lower it. I’m using a 240AIO with 1.15V clocks, keeping it under 60°C during gaming and limiting power draw to around 165W on R23.
