I'd run Cinebench R23 on a simple configuration to verify the results and for reference. My performance lands around 36k with my NH-D15 or EKWB 280mm AIO using those parameters. Make sure you're selecting the 'balanced' Power Plan, as changing it to 'high performance' usually reduces Cinebench R23 scores in at least two situations—like with my friend's 7800x3D and when I tested a 7950x3D setup.

Absolutely, it could be considered a flawed approach if done manually occasionally. It feels quite unusual since the system is meant to handle these tasks automatically.

No? The design is flawed; it's hard to predict if it will repeat, and it shouldn't be up to the user to handle it.

If done perfectly initially, problems won't arise. However, usually people should just use the 7800x3d and bypass these concerns or switch to Intel.
