Attempting to activate DHCP over a PTP connection with the Ubiquity Rocket M900 and Edge Switch. I’m confident the link works since I can reach external sites with static IPs and speed tests. However, when I enable DHCP, it fails and the laptop defaults to a 169.x.x.x address. Why does it behave this way instead of assigning leases from our server? I notice other devices appear normally when DHCP is active on the 169 address. What could be causing this behavior? Thanks for your help.

Connect your laptop to the receiving Rocket. If that fails, verify WDS is activated.

Avoided the switch and used a POE brick; no success. Observed that I can ping and log into PTP components from upstream, but not downstream. From the sending side, I can log in and ping both ends, but not the receiving side. I plan to enable WDS and follow up tomorrow with updates. Edit: It appears functional, but I’ll verify in person tomorrow. Thanks!
