DH57JG refuses to take keyboard input at the end of the process.
The guide has been revised last year, but this version is an older board. It serves as a backup recovery method that functions even when the BIOS chip is completely blank. I want to ensure you’re not left with a worse condition than when you received the board. Wait 15–20 minutes, then restart if nothing changes. If that doesn’t work, try going back into the BIOS or reattempt the recovery process.
Intel's documentation explains that 5A signifies resetting the PATA/SATA bus and all connected devices. Are any CD/DVD drives or hard disks currently linked to the board? If present, have they been verified for proper function on a functional system? Are there any additional non-essential peripherals connected? Try removing any SATA/PATA devices and observe if the POST code alters.
Note: It may be that after post code 5A the system immediately detects the keyboard. This could indicate an issue with the SATA port or hard drive.

Is it still stuck at Post Code 5A too? Did you also remember to reconnect the jumper and take out the USB stick? I just realized I forgot to mention that you should try that. My mistake. Give it a go if you can. Edited July 25, 2018 by Tabs
