Devices aren't appearing in the network or homegroup list.
Hi, your other PC isn’t appearing in the Network or Homegroup section of Windows Explorer on both machines. Both have turned on network discovery and file/printer sharing settings. When you try the homegroup method, the window keeps loading endlessly even after waiting an hour. I’ve reset the adapter settings on both devices but it still doesn’t show up. I’ve searched online for solutions but haven’t found a fix yet. Interestingly, when you enter the IP address directly in Windows Explorer, it displays correctly for file transfers, though the sharing feature remains unavailable. Let me know if you need further help.
For sharing printer access, consider configuring a print server like CUPS. I’m already using one on my server.
The update removed the option to view other networked computers in Windows 10. See the fix here: https://winaero.com/blog/network-compute...sion-1803/
Thanks for your prompt response. Unfortunately, I don’t have the necessary equipment for that configuration. Right now, I’m just using a Switch and router, and I didn’t realize Microsoft had disabled that feature via an update. I’ll give it a try.
