Hey there, I own an HP OMEN 15 laptop (model 15-en0002ax) equipped with a Ryzen 5 4600H, GTX 1660Ti and 8GB RAM. I plan to upgrade soon. The warranty is still valid for roughly three more months. After updating Windows 10 to a newer version, I’ve experienced random 2-3 second throttling in both idle and gaming situations. These events happen about twice daily (around an 8-10 hour gap). My CPU stays near 85°C max and the GPU around 65°C during games. Even when the room temperature is between 35-40°C for 2-3 seconds, it still throttles. I’ve updated the GPU drivers (GeForce 516.59) and i-GPU drivers (AMD Adrenalin 22.6.1), reset the BIOS to defaults, and cleaned the fans. The CPU is only nine months old, so I don’t think overheating is the main issue—my power plan is set to high performance and performance mode in the gaming hub. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
It seems you're referring to the ongoing fTPM/AMD Platform Security Processor (PSP) issue. Disabling it in the BIOS might resolve the problem. Since I can't access your specific BIOS settings, check under the security section. For more details, see this thread:
