It seems your sister-in-law's laptop stopped working after they moved in. It appears to have just one stick of RAM and is a prebuilt unit. Once you plug in the power, it turns on quickly but doesn’t send any video signal. The motherboard lacks indicators showing any issue. My brother mentioned it used to beep three times when it was turning on, but I haven’t heard that sound myself. A photo of the computer is attached for reference.
Did water get inside the system? There are visible signs of rust on the CPU cooler fasteners and the motherboard.
It's unclear due to the unique connectors, but neither of the FUSB ports is linked. Could the power button cable have been lost during transport?
