Device surface interaction problems
I possess an older surface tablet that was gifted to me because the lower portion of the screen fails to recognize touch input. The device works fine otherwise and I can operate it as a basic laptop with a detachable keyboard, though using it as a touchscreen tablet would be ideal since I already own a high-end laptop. Attached are photos of my setup and the areas suitable for touch interaction. I've checked updating drivers, resetting settings, and performing a full shutdown through official support forums, but nothing resolved the issue. I suspect a hardware problem and am open to repair attempts if possible. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I’m also okay with using it simply as a mousepad if nothing else works.
