It should function properly as long as your motherboard is compatible. The 3000g price point seems too high; I might opt for an i3 if possible.

Sorry to hear that, but I purchased the Athlon 3000G and B450M Steel Legend. I'm worried about compatibility issues, so I plan to upgrade to the 5600X later.

The second SSD should function properly on that board. Be sure to place it in the top slot. This board also restricts you to Gen 3 x2 with an external chip, though no task will be restricted by that.
