Hi, your friend is experiencing performance issues on his Lenovo Notebook V14-IIL. Despite having a newer processor and more RAM than his older ASUS VivoBook A442U, his gameplay drops significantly in Valorant. The lower frame rates he reports suggest potential problems with thermal management or driver settings rather than overheating. He’s already taken steps like cleaning the laptop, applying new thermal paste, and using a cooler, but the performance still lags. It might help to check for background processes, update drivers, or consider a more powerful cooling solution.

He plays Valorant with various configurations. Try using the lowest settings and capping FPS at 120. Set the in-game FPS to 60-80 to control it. Install MSI Afterburner and keep an eye on CPU clock speeds and temperatures.
