Device shutting down unpredictably while remaining powered on.
Over the last week I've experienced repeated shutdowns when launching specific games. The system powers on normally, but restarting requires flipping the power button. A quick fix was reapplying thermal paste to the CPU, though it lasted only a few hours before another crash. I suspect a power supply problem now, but I'm unsure what to check next. The only change I made was relocating the tower from under my desk to the top for improved airflow. Following that adjustment, crashes began again. I've updated drivers on both BIOS and GPU, run the Event Viewer, and performed an SFC scan, but still need guidance. Any advice would be valuable.
I will reinsert all components securely, including the PSU side. If crashes occur frequently enough, consider skipping the GPU. For now, try using standard configurations and Ram as well. Make sure to update Windows, BIOS, and drivers. Edited February 3, 2024 by leclod
I'll attempt to reposition everything again. The last action was running Cinebench for a stress test, and the system crashed immediately afterward.
