Hey! Your PC went dark while playing NFS Unbound, but you didn’t see any error messages. It just shut down completely. After restarting the power supply, it worked again. You played for about half an hour and it ran smoothly afterward.

Your system specs look pretty good: a high-end GPU, solid CPU temps, and decent storage setup. Your temperatures are normal, which is great. The issue seems to be related to how much your CPU was being used during the game—NFS Unbound consumes a lot of power in 4K resolution.

What you should check next:
- Ensure your PSU can handle the load at 4K.
- Make sure your GPU isn’t overheating under stress.
- Consider monitoring real-time usage to see if it spikes again.
- If possible, try lowering the resolution or closing background apps during gameplay.

If the problem persists, you might want to test with a different game or lower settings. Let me know what you find!

I created it entirely from the beginning.

Since there were no driver problems, it seems safe to attempt a DDU anyway.

It's possible the CPU cooler isn't firmly attached to the CPU. Even if temperatures seem normal, a loose fit can affect cooling performance.

I swapped out my CPU and cooler, then applied MX-6 Paste. Putting too much pressure on the CPU with the cooler seems to stop it from booting. I plan to play for an hour to observe any changes.

You've completed it. I'll give it another shot.

Testing this since yesterday, my PC keeps shutting down unexpectedly. It turns off when I launch a game and press enter, sometimes during casual play too. After reinstalling drivers, updating the game, reseating the CPU, and reapplying thermal paste, it still fails to start. No signs of hardware issues. The motherboard LED stays lit even after shutdown. When I restart, I have to disconnect and reconnect the PSU cable. Where can I find the Kernel Power error in Windows?

Maybe it's a PSU problem, but it seems to be a pretty solid issue and should be recent. I’m not sure why it’s behaving oddly unless it’s due to a production flaw.

Search "Event Viewer" in the Windows search bar and navigate to "Windows Logs" > "System". There, you can adjust the severity filter (critical issues are usually highlighted). The random shutdown seems to occur only during game launches—check if it happens when browsing or just on games. Stress test your setup to see if it crashes under load. Examine temperatures using AIDA64, blue screen details at nirsoft.net, and driver info for DDU. If the problem persists whether you boot games or not, it likely points to a hardware fault.
