Regrettably, turning off XMP still didn't fix the problem.

I reviewed the firmware update tool for my GPU and confirmed everything is current. My motherboard runs version 2401, yet it keeps warning about a "Not a proper BIOS" error when trying to upgrade to 2602. I double-checked that I have the correct Wi-Fi model, not just the Z490 Plus.

It seems your PSU upgrade hasn't resolved the problem. Consider checking connections, load levels, or contacting support for further help.

Have you updated drivers or installed the original ones for your new card?

You're only employing the original drivers for the new card at this time.

When exchanging cards for permanent installation, ALWAYS perform a DDU and reinstall the drivers.

Sure, I've noted that. Let me know if you'd like any adjustments later.

Refer to the DDU documentation for further steps. Have you updated the drivers yet?

I assume you're using the newest GPU drivers. Here are some versions of the WHQL driver that worked well for me—using the latest WHQL driver resolved similar problems. My GPU is an RX 6800 XT, but results can vary.

You confirmed the update to the newest WHQL drivers for Nvidia. After using DDU, you ensured a fresh and clean installation of the driver package.
