Hey there! I’ve been using a 4070 Super for three days after switching from a 3080, and everything has been smooth until now. Around 30 minutes after powering on, the screen went dark and all fans jumped to maximum. It felt like the system was screaming, lasting a few minutes before I shut it down. In Windows Event Viewer I saw a TPM-WMI error (ID 1796) saying the Secure Boot update failed because of an incorrect parameter. There were also Eventlog and Kernel-Power logs from the reboot. Any suggestions on what to check or do before restarting? Thanks for your help! EDIT: When I touched the outside, I didn’t feel the fans spinning at full speed—maybe the GPU was the culprit.
I have a Furmark model. Other specifications include [add details]. I considered using Furmark first, then DDU and Furmark again. It might be a failing card.
GPU bought less than four months ago, brand new from Microcenter. Testing DDU now. Power supply is an EVGA 750 W Semi-Modular Gold ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017HA3RGE?tag...e=ogi&th=1 ).
I'm currently connecting each port with a separate 8-pin power cable into the GPU.
