Device remains inactive after power cycle using keyboard and mouse.
Hi everyone, I've noticed some unusual behavior with my computer. It won't wake up from sleep unless I press the power button. Even when I press any key on the keyboard to activate it, the numlock light stays on normally, but I can't change it until I wake it up. The same happens with my Razer mouse—pressing buttons turns the RGB back on, yet the computer still won't wake. I've checked all settings and confirmed in Device Manager that both devices are listed to wake from sleep, but nothing seems to work. I recently disassembled the machine for maintenance, and now it doesn't respond at all. It's strange since everything worked before, and I haven't touched it much since then. Could anyone have some advice?
Probably, you can turn it on through the BIOS settings... perhaps that's the problem?
Open Device Manager, locate your keyboard, right-click and select Properties. A popup will appear—choose the "Power Management" tab and make sure "Allow this device to wake the computer" is checked. Repeat the same steps for your mouse. Switch your PC to sleep mode and attempt to activate it using either peripheral.
