I checked the pinned forum for guidance on PC issues and confirmed the HDMI cable was connected to the graphics card. I’ve been assembling my PC since August 15th using these parts (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cMQZ89), all new from Amazon and Newegg. When I power on, fans, GPU, and CPU cooler activate, along with the keyboard. But the monitor displays a black screen with a "no signal" message. A few days ago, with identical setup, it also reported no input. The only difference is my fan configuration. I’m certain the monitor and HDMI cable work fine when connected to a laptop that shows content. I haven’t installed Windows yet. In my mind, the problem might lie in the BIOS—updating it would be necessary for the CPU to run. I don’t see any BIOS button on the motherboard. I attempted a solution by connecting a USB drive with a F32 update for ten minutes, then replacing it with an F40 update. Both times, I formatted the drive with gigabyte.bin and removed the old files. After the update, nothing changed. My PC parts are kept outside the case for easier access during repairs. I’ll return them once the issue is resolved. There’s a loose cable near the motherboard—only one fan connector fits, so it won’t work. The information needs revision. The system lacks functionality to modify bios without a compatible processor.
Gigabyte mainboard information states the required BIOS version for your CPU is FA, the initial release for this board. The latest is FB dated June 2023. Your Ryzen 3600 doesn’t require any updates for proper operation. Consider deleting the NVMe drive before booting the PC.
I took out the NVMe drive, yet the screen remains off. The rest of the system appears normal.
It could work well for updating the BIOS. The Ryzen 3 1200 is affordable, available used on Amazon, and you don’t need a BIOS update. Since the goal is simply to upgrade the firmware, it’s a practical option.
I connected the Ryzen 1200 to the CPU socket without altering any other parts, and the monitor still shows “Input Not Supported.” Although Pcpartpicker indicated no BIOS update was needed, the issue persists. I confirmed the HDMI cable is in place, used the correct GPU, and swapped between PCIE cables while reinserting the NVMe SSD. What should I try next?
