About two weeks back, my computer began shutting down unexpectedly and restarting. During gameplay, while watching YouTube or listening to music, a blue screen would appear indicating an error that required a restart. I haven’t overclocked at all. The machine was brand new when it arrived in April. If you’d like more information, just let me know. Thanks!

Are you participating in multiplayer games with built-in anti-cheat measures? If so, the anti-cheat features may interfere during gameplay and remain active even after closing the session, potentially disrupting your actions afterward. Remove all such games from your setup, restart your computer, and only play offline titles without anti-cheat protections to test if issues resolve.

The factory reset was done a week back, and currently only Beamng.drive and Fortnitr are running.

As discussed by those above, you're joining the Intel f***ed up train. It seems you might have missed the latest updates. In reality, between 25% to 100% of the 13th and 14th generation CPUs are facing various problems—ranging from instability and random crashes to total failure to power on. Possible causes include microcode errors, faulty manufacturing processes, and oxidation defects. Right now, there are two main options: A) Wait for Intel to release a microcode update around mid to late August, hoping the issue gets fixed before then; performance drops may be limited by reduced voltage limits. B) Return the unit (RMA), check your refund policy, and consider: b1) purchasing another Intel CPU, assuming it wasn't part of the defective batch, or b2) switch to a Ryzen processor, which many businesses are adopting now. Some server firms report a full 100% failure rate, meaning every CPU is faulty with a wide range of defects.
