Hello, your girlfriend's PC is a custom build. Here are the details: Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX 3060, 16GB Corsair 3600MHz RAM, B550 Pro 4. The machine just powers off, we attempted to update the BIOS but it crashed during installation and now it won't boot. Since you're far apart, I can't fix it myself, and she doesn’t have the expertise to handle it. Any advice from someone facing similar problems would be appreciated.

well if you botched a bios update and have zero access to the machine and nobody to replace the board then they have to take it to somebody who can do that for them.

It seems the issue might be with the motherboard itself. Would you like to proceed with replacing it?

The board seems okay before the software update went wrong, but without anyone checking the machine, it's hard to know what's really going on. It might be several issues at play. Consider getting someone with diagnostic skills to investigate.

okay we got it to boot again, it turns on it starts everything, but then there is like a click before it shuts down and just gets black (she says it sounds like a electric arc) so is it maybe something short inside? thanks for helping btw

It might be a power supply issue, though without someone nearby to check it it's hard to confirm. Based on your description, try another power supply.
