Device powering down automatically
Hello everyone, a year ago my computer would freeze briefly and shut down completely before restarting. This began around three months after I upgraded my GPU. Plugging in the video cable seemed to help, but sometimes disconnecting the power supply and reconnecting fixes it temporarily—sometimes just a day or a week later. It often happens during games or when shutting down, taking less than 20 minutes to restart again. Temperatures were normal, I reinstalled Windows, ran MemTest86, bought a new PSU, but it still crashes. Opening the case now takes a few extra minutes and it keeps crashing randomly. It seems to fail when running heavy programs or opening large files. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My system specs: i7-4790, 16GB DDR3 RAM, H97-HD3, 6GB GDDR3, GTX 1060, 6GB CX550, 2TB HDD storage.
I'm using a monitoring tool to track CPU, GPU, and MBOO temperatures. In Event Viewer, under the System section, there are no relevant alerts or messages at this time.
