Device performance issues?
System details: Graphics card – RTX 2060, CPU – Ryzen 3 3300x, Motherboard – MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX, RAM – Crucial DDR4 Ballistix Sport (2x8GB), Storage – Kingston SSD A400 120GB for OS and light apps, plus Seagate HDD 3.5" 4TB ST4000DM006 for media, I don’t know the PSU specs but it’s around 650W. Back in November 2021 I encountered issues with CS:GO. The game would stutter and show frequent high VAR spikes. Even when GPU usage hits about 90%, it drops to 20-30% during spikes. I attempted various fixes – reinstalling the game, Steam, checking files, updating drivers, ensuring proper power connection, and even reinstalling Windows 10 – but nothing resolved it. Now I suspect a hardware limitation or a bottleneck affecting performance. Benchmarks suggest around 300 FPS for CS:GO, yet my experience was much lower. I’m questioning whether setup errors occurred or if the system is truly constrained.
Verify the idle and load temperatures. Could be overheating causing thermal throttling. Also, do you have the newest motherboard BIOS, the latest AMD chipset drivers, and the most recent GPU drivers?
The approach fell short due to unclear objectives and inconsistent execution. Specific steps lacked precision, leading to inefficiencies and missed results.
