Device performance drops significantly during connection to the SATA port.
Hey everyone, I'm reaching out for assistance. GIGABYTE support hasn't replied yet. I recently purchased an Aorus B550 Elite v2 with a Ryzen 5600G, RX580 and 16GB of Crucial Ballistix 3200MHz RAM. For storage, I have a NVMe drive in the top slot, a 2.5" SSD, and an HDD. When using only the NVMe drive, the system runs smoothly without issues. However, connecting any external drives causes significant problems—PC freezes, task manager becomes extremely slow, and even basic activities like streaming Netflix become difficult. I'm really unsure how to resolve this. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
What's stored on the SATA drive? It contains your operating system, applications, files, and other data you use regularly.
Just games, I attempted to format one, but it didn't work at all—this was the first time I noticed the problem. Tomorrow I plan to get an adapter from PCI 1x to 2 SATA port to check if this fixes things, though I still want to resolve the issue.
