I've owned this PC for about two years, but I've always struggled to get it to boot with dual-channel RAM. When I try that setting, I see a long flash for the DRAM and then a short flash for the CPU, followed by nothing. It hasn't been a big issue yet, but I'm noticing the performance loss. Any tips would be appreciated!

It seems you're questioning three possible issues: a bad RAM slot, an invalid IMC, or a dead RAM DIMM.

A pin inside the CPU socket connected to memory might be twisted or damaged, which caused the problem I experienced.

DIMM'S performance is best in single-channel setups; it doesn't function properly in dual-channel arrangements like slots (1, 3) or (2, 4), requiring them to be adjacent.

I haven’t adjusted the CPU or its cooler since I assembled the system, just to verify the dual-channel settings again.

I attempted to use slots 1, 3, 2, and 4, but none responded. My guess is the third and fourth slots on my motherboard are not available. Could you get some suggestions for suitable motherboards?

I would still check your MB pins before buying a new board. And there's still the chance it's the CPU that's bad.
