Hello, I own an ASUS Vivobook S15U with an Intel Core i5-8250U and a Nvidia MX 150 GPU. Mostly I use the laptop at home for watching videos, playing a few games, and browsing the web. I set the battery max limit to 60% and keep it mostly in but sometimes when I unplug it and use it the whole system slows down a lot and has hiccups. In the Task Manager I noticed unusual behavior: the CPU frequency stays at 3.4Ghz for a few seconds before dropping to 0.40Ghz briefly, then it keeps repeating until I plug it back in for a short time. The CPU temperatures were around 70-85°C. Sorry, I wasn’t able to capture a screenshot of the Task Manager because I couldn’t recreate the issue before writing this. I’d like to understand why this happens and if others have experienced similar problems. Thank you for your time!
