Hi. I've been dealing with a booting issue on my home server for more than three hours. I tried adding disk 7 and 8, which required two extra SATA slots—only one was free. I purchased a StarTech 6 port x4 SATA adapter. After removing the NVIDIA 4070 card and inserting the adapter, I cleared the CMOS several times. During debug mode, the screen lit up briefly in red and yellow before shutting off completely, and nothing displayed afterward. When I reset the CMOS and took out the adapter, the lights turned off and the green indicator appeared, allowing the computer to boot. The MSI MAG-B650-TOMAHAWK-WIFI was placed in PCI slots from bottom to top. The first PCI slot had a 2-port SATA adapter, followed by a second PCI SATA adapter two positions down with a 10GbE dual NIC Intel chipset, and the NVIDIA 4070 was in the top slot. With the adapter in place, the computer booted normally. No GPU appeared in the top slot, but it still worked. I’ve tried BIOS version 7D75v1L2024-12-26; there are newer versions available, but they seem irrelevant here. All four RAM slots were filled and functioned correctly.
