Consider changing the position of the M.2 port. Think about using a dead slot or another location. Make sure the drive is fully seated before proceeding. It might seem risky, but ensure the connection is solid.

If it isn’t working in either port, it’s likely the NVMe isn’t connected. Make sure you installed the drive correctly. If you manage to insert the screw, that suggests it’s there. Verify that CSM support is turned off in the BIOS boot menu. After rebooting, if you can’t locate the drive, it’s probably dead (it should appear with CSM enabled, though this isn’t certain in pure UEFI).

CSM was turned off throughout, which likely means the drive is no longer functional. Appreciate the update.

Certainly. The final option would be to try setting it up on another machine if possible. However, it seems to be nonfunctional. It’s best to replace it.

I'm sure it would've been a waste of time. You've checked two slots—one linked to the CPU and the other to the chipset. The chances both being faulty are quite low.
