I switched from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 7 5800x and upgraded my cooler to an NZXT Kraken Elite. After assembling everything, I applied fresh thermal paste and tried booting but got an orange light. I repositioned the RAM, secured all connections, and still faced issues. Removing the battery off the motherboard and reinserting it didn’t help. I used a flash drive with the latest BIOS for flashback, but it still didn’t work. I inspected the CPU and found no bent pins, though the light remained orange (or yellow). Any advice or suggestions would be really useful. The specs are an ASUS TUF Gaming B550 Plus with Ryzen 7 5800X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, NZXT Kraken Elite cooler, Corsair RM750 gold PSU.
Do you have your 3600? Please include that again. You need to confirm the BIOS version is later than 1004, and the board should be shipped with 0242.
Because the flash back feature could be faulty. I needed a visual display to test it in UEFI BIOS. You might want to re-flash the BIOS to a newer version than 1004. If you remember seeing an orange light, it could indicate RAM issues or timing problems—consult the motherboard manual.
