Additionally shared this in troubleshooting section, but no replies received. My system is experiencing problems after the latest updates. All components—drives and GPU—functioned correctly during initial installation, but since the BIOS was upgraded from version 0401 to 1401, issues have continued unabated. Even after reverting the BIOS back to version 0401, the same problems remain. The keyboard and mouse stop being recognized once the BIOS loads; they turn off immediately after the Windows logo appears, preventing any further action. I/O operations are smooth in the BIOS without issues. It seems the problem lies within the operating system environment, as I only encounter errors when interacting directly with it. Observed errors: - Unable boot device (BSOD) [occurs after multiple failed attempts to restart Windows] - Overclocking warning on BIOS screen [repeats five times during BSOD cycle] Fixes attempted: - Performed a full Windows reset via advanced troubleshooting. I can boot through Windows and the lock screen without trouble, but restarting causes the same errors. - Updated BIOS and performed a flashback. Both attempts resolved the issue without issues, though results were inconsistent. System specs: Intel i76800k (no overclock) x99 ASUS Strix Gaming 32GB DDR4, G.Skill Trident Z 3200MHz (operating at stock 2133 for testing), GTX 1070 as an SSD boot drive, Windows 10 64-bit. Educational background: I’ve reset Windows three times without success, but haven’t performed a full format yet.

It seems the BIOS update might have disrupted the operating system. I’d probably go back to reinstalling Windows because the BSOD indicates Windows struggled to load properly. That’s definitely my next step.

The issue was resolved, though I thought a full reset would clear my files. I probably misunderstood the process.
