yea i did read it lol it's not too long to read yet at least do you know why the memory channels died? also he mentioned any slot works, so it's more about IMC than board being broken no? unless the board cant support 4 dimms electrically

All the channels function, but only intermittently, which might mean the BIOS version is the issue. I’m okay with 16GB if needed. This setup is just a short-term one until I upgrade.

Engineering shortcomings are the main concern. Similar problems show up in nearly every motherboard, mainly due to memory channel issues. These are well-documented. For more details, consider how often people encounter the same problem with modern systems—most users report similar experiences. When someone brings up this issue on a modern rig, they’re asking about the root cause. The challenge lies in memory management: only two components handle RAM, and the CPU memory controller is the sole solution. No software patches have been effective. This differs from forum discussions where data is pooled and analyzed collectively. In reality, repeated attempts with mixed memory modules usually fail, leading to crashes or BSODs. By the time someone reaches this forum, the system is often severely compromised. I’ve spent a lot of time diagnosing these kinds of problems, but I’ll keep it simple—experience tells me what works and what doesn’t.

It seems the problem is likely hardware-dependent, especially after installing a new operating system. Also, keep in mind that some DDR3 modules are made by AMD only—maybe a brief check would help.

Yeah, I've fixed a lot of things that were considered dead or inoperable. I don't like just giving up and discarding something if there's the potential to fix it. I've seen a lot of success stories in forums like these

I need to assemble everything upon my return. I’ll test any recommendations and share updates if things go well.

I started competitive benchmarking because of this old gear. TEC cooling? Definitely! DICE cooling? Absolutely! LN2? You bet! My new setup is always running. It’s straightforward.
