The motherboard guide is quite compact. Turn off Rapid Storage. When drives are set to AHCI mode, the main menu should indicate this clearly.

For any reason, your cards appear as AHCI yet they aren't listed on the bootable drive.

ASUS support recommended switching on CSM, which resolved the issue. When I inquired about the benefit, he explained his reasoning.

Yes, ensure it's using UEFI instead of Legacy mode for the latest system.

I believe it might have chosen this option because I didn’t have a GPU installed at one point. During troubleshooting, the technician asked me to switch on CSM, which was turned off and not working, since there was no GPU. Still confused about why the GPU matters for drive recognition or why putting it in helped—though it worked, that’s great.
