I'm near the end of assembling my first PC, so the issue might be on my end. I have a working M.2 SSD and have booted up the system using an outdated Windows 10 64-bit version. I also have a Seagate 1TB hard drive, which I recently replaced after some trouble. It appears to spin up normally but isn't detected in the BIOS or Windows. I've tried all seven SATA ports with various cables, suggesting it's not a mechanical failure. I think the problem could relate to SATA drivers or configuration differences between RAID and AHCI modes. If you have any advice, I appreciate it. Your CPU is a Ryzen 5 2400G, the motherboard is Asrock B450 Pro4, and the hard drive is Seagate 1TB—let me know if anything else comes up. Thanks!

Your hard drive must appear in your BIOS settings, even if it seems nonfunctional.

Check if the system is using a simple storage device. Right-click on This PC, choose Disk Management, and format the drive to display it.

Use AHCI unless you specifically configure RAID. You might need to reset your BIOS, though the disk could be non-functional.

It's confirmed, I've also attempted several times to locate it in Disk Management, but it hasn't appeared.

Could it be that the issue isn't related to hard wear?

This step needs to be confirmed in the disc management system. Would you like to try it on another PC before marking it as Ded?

It seems your hard drive might be failing. Seagate 1TB models are often criticized for poor build and inconsistent performance. Watch this video to see if Seagate hard drives deliver quality: Are Seagate hard drives good quality? - Louis Rossmann
