Someone in your home connected a different power cord to the router, and now it won’t turn on even when using the right cable. Does this mean the device is damaged?

Ensure the device functions properly with appropriate voltage and current. Verify the power brick's output by checking its readings. Maintain consistent voltage levels and sufficient amperage as specified for the device.

It can be risky because not all older power supplies had strict controls, and if a gadget didn’t draw the expected amount of power, the voltage could exceed its limits.
