Hello, over the past few months I've faced several issues with my newly assembled desktop. Initially it would start without trouble, but then it would freeze at certain points displaying a DRAM warning (yellow light). Restarting resolved that, however, the problem escalated. Eventually it began showing CPU errors during startup (red light). One by one I've had to return RAM for replacement, the motherboard twice with replacements, and even the CPU was swapped out only to bring in a brand new unit. Now it continues to have problems—sometimes booting with just one stick of RAM or showing DRAM issues, but with two sticks it triggers CPU errors. I've eliminated RAM, motherboard, and CPU as causes based on the error indicators. Recently, before sending in the CPU, it was functioning but unstable, frequently reverting to the DRAM check during updates. I tried using various driver update tools that installed the latest versions, but one caused an unexpected shutdown mid-update (against my advice). Now the system lights are all active again, displaying both DRAM and CPU errors, and I can't access the BIOS. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks. Here are my system details: Ryzen 3900X RTX 2070 Super Gaming X Trio Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3600MHz ASUS TUF Gaming Motherboard with WIFI Sabrent Rocket 512GB NVME SSD 3TB Seagate HDD Corsair RMX750 Powersupply.
I’m suggesting you give it a shot without using any GPU or RAM in the system and link the built-in HDMI to a monitor to see if it displays anything. If the CPU isn’t the problem, test with both RAM sticks in a single stick setup, checking both the motherboard and CPU. If that doesn’t work, the issue likely lies with the motherboard itself.
It lacks a built-in GPU which means no screen output will occur
I currently have only one unit in slot 2. I reset the CMOS by connecting the two pins together, but it didn't make any difference.
I changed the setting from B2 to A2 for RAM and tried again, but nothing improved. I realized it might have been an issue with the colors during a long online session, and restarting resolved the problem. This could suggest a temporary glitch or settings conflict.
It might display RAM and CPU errors even when the issue is GPU-related because the system tries to manage resources across all components, or due to driver conflicts.
