Hey there! I see you're having some issues with your PC. Let me try to help you figure it out. You mentioned building your system about six months ago, and initially everything worked fine after a faulty RAM was replaced. However, you started experiencing boot issues around a month later—specifically during gaming or intensive tasks.

Your first attempt was to disconnect the GPU and try booting with a discrete graphics card, which worked briefly. But when you left the PC on for three days straight, the same problems resurfaced. After replacing the motherboard, the issue persisted, especially when using a 650-watt PSU. You're wondering if the power supply is faulty or if the PSU itself needs attention.

Any tips or suggestions would be really helpful!

Set up any Linux distribution on a USB drive...start it...if successful, then your NVMe might be damaged or the OS is corrupted. I also enjoy playing Starcraft—it never loses its appeal.

Explain this further please. What do you get when trying to boot into Windows?

I concur with this and note that your PSU *could* have issues with power delivery, though it's not a certainty.

Thanks stu_Bear. I attempted a Linux boot, but it only functions with the discrete graphics card. When I connect the card, I don’t progress beyond the BIOS. After flashing the BIOS with the latest version, it still shows this issue—no POST appears on the screen, and it keeps restarting after three seconds. I’ll replace the PSU and come back later. Thanks for your feedback. P.S. - StarCraft continues to work:-)

Hey Radium_Angel, the OS isn't loading properly and the BIOS isn't showing up. The PC restarts after just three seconds, making it impossible to use any key combinations.

If you don't reach BIOS, then there are bigger problems. I'd try this: Disconnect or unplug anything not needed for POST (visible on screen). Remove all components from the case, possibly fixing grounding issues, and place everything in a non-conductive container like a phone book. Use just one stick of RAM, the built-in video card, and the CPU. Check if it starts up and enters BIOS. Explore BIOS settings without making changes, just to see if the system freezes. If it freezes, let me know. If it works, continue. If not, turn it off. Plug in a single hard drive with the OS and try accessing Windows. Report your findings.

Thanks for the support, it really worked once I swapped out the PSU. Maybe it was just a placebo, but the PC feels faster and quieter now. I think I had a bad PSU all along. Appreciate the help—I can resume playing StarCraft.

Great, everything seems to be working now. Maybe the PSU was the reason I was right after all.
