Device for adapting to shifting local areas
Device for adapting to shifting local areas
Hello. Networks in my area shift frequently, making it frustrating to constantly check and track popular channels on both 5 and 2.4GHz connections (used for many devices here). I’m wondering if there are routers that automatically scan for and switch to the least crowded channels on their own, so I don’t have to manage it manually. I’ve tried setting the channel selection to “Auto,” but it hasn’t performed well with any router I’ve used. I’m looking for something affordable, ideally under $300 (preferably under $200). Thanks!
The "auto" settings on all routers are quite similar and may be causing your issues. You seem to want more frequent adjustments, but this could result in delays when devices connect and disconnect. The best approach is to focus on managing congestion and set static configurations. Over time, other routers with auto settings might naturally move to different channels. Auto is actually the issue here.
