Hey everyone, I just installed a new setup and am still working through the setup. The components I have are: Ryzen 7800X3D MSI B650 Plus WiFi 7900XTX, GSkill DDR5-6000 with 12GB x2, beQuiet pure Power 12M 850W Alpenföhn Brocken, and a CPU cooler. After assembling everything outside the case and performing a test boot, everything worked fine and I accessed the BIOS. I let it run for ten minutes and confirmed everything was recognized. I noticed the CPU reached temperatures up to 60°C while the fan didn’t activate, and the heatsink felt quite hot. After exiting the BIOS, I reconnected the fan and tried booting again, but received a red status light for CPU failure and a yellow one for memory failure. I reset the system multiple times without success. Eventually, I pressed the FLASH BIOS button without a USB drive and waited about 30 minutes before the LED stabilized. I’m worried this might have damaged my motherboard. Any suggestions on what to do next?

I stopped waiting and turned off the system using the PSU. Then I removed the CMOS battery, waited a half minute, put it back in, and restarted. It took roughly two minutes for the LEDs to cycle, after which it displayed and I’m now back in BIOS. The only issue left is the CPU fan not spinning.

Does the CPU fan operate when connected to another fan port? You can ignore the alert temporarily for testing. If it doesn’t spin, the heatsink may be faulty. If it does spin, there could be an issue with the motherboard’s port, which you might resolve by returning it or using a jumper to simulate a connection.

I fixed all the problems. The MB cable wasn’t connected properly to the PSU anymore. Everything works now—Cyberpunk is downloading again! Appreciate your assistance!
