I just finished constructing my first custom tower. After putting everything together, the PC won’t boot into BIOS and won’t power on at all. Once I power it up, it runs for about a minute and twenty seconds before shutting down and restarting shortly after. During this time, the red LED on the MOBO flash between DRAM and CPU lights up. I’ve tried re-seating the RAM and used another machine where it worked properly. I also replaced the CPU cooler and re-soldered the CPU, but no bent pins were found. I attempted a Q-Flash of the BIOS thinking it might be outdated, but when I pressed the Q-flash button on the motherboard with my updated BIOS USB drive connected, everything turned on for about five seconds before shutting off again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Specs:
- Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z690 UD DDR4
- CPU: Intel Core i7-13700KF
- Power Supply: CORSAIR RMx Series RM850
- RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z RGB 32GB (2x16)
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT

Test one memory stick at a time, place it in slot 2 after reviewing the motherboard manual.

Just tried it moments ago and it works fine normally, but the red LED on the MB stays steady while the DRAM indicator remains. It also doesn’t seem to power down after a while, unlike before, and I still can’t get it to boot.

It appears there may be an issue with the CPU or BIOS. You can test your CPU in a known machine to confirm functionality. Additionally, it might be possible to update the BIOS independently of the CPU if your system supports it.
