MB: Asus TUF gaming B550 plus CPU setup with Ryzen 9 5900x and gainward RTX 3080. I've completed an 8-hour build and expect several grammar errors. PS: Testing won't start until Wednesday. At power on, everything lights up—including the GPU fans, which spin, I hear a faint beep, then after roughly ten seconds, a long beep followed by three short ones. After checking online, I learned this indicates "VGA not found," meaning the GPU isn't detected. I've re-seated it five times, finding that the right side is more firmly placed than the left. I suspect the GPU might be faulty despite fans spinning and lights working, so I swapped it with an older GTX 745Ti that lacks external power. Interestingly, the fans still spin even without external power, suggesting proper seating. It seems the right-side pins are likely the power ones. I also tried using a second PCIe slot without success. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm open to all ideas. Edit: I haven't attempted Q-leds as mentioned in the manual—I might try that on Wednesday.
It might be helpful to test another slot; if it starts up in one of those, the problem could be with the motherboard.
I saw a Reddit post about someone with matching MB and symptoms. They later discovered their CPU was dead. Maybe I should give it a try.
