I assembled a new computer yesterday. Once it powered up, I received a beep—one long followed by three short sounds. The fans were running and the GPU was functioning properly, but there was no display output. This suggests an issue with the RAM on the ASUS motherboard. I reinserted the RAM and repeated the test in various slots. The previous attempt resulted in the PC failing to start at all, with no fan activity.

The system usually indicates a GPU problem with a single long beep and three short sounds. Try re-seating the GPU and making sure all power cables are securely connected at both ends if applicable.

I suspect a GPU issue, as my ASUS motherboard had problems a few months ago. The GPU cable and card didn’t sit properly either. If this applies to you, remove the GPU, reinsert it carefully, verify it’s fully seated, then check the cable. For modular power supplies, ensure the GPU power cable fits snugly into the PSU.

I attempted to reinstall the GPU, but nothing improved. The device won’t power on at all—not because of the GPU. It seems the power supply unit failed.

You're getting a fresh power supply unit to test.

The brand is unknown, the wattage isn't specified, and the rating isn't mentioned. It seems the product didn't perform as expected after short use.

This seems like a logical approach. A fresh power source might be the answer.
