Occasionally the case button doesn’t immediately power on after a cold start. It might be due to insufficient pressure when pressing it or simply needing time to heat up. Once started, it usually begins promptly when you want it. After several restarts and reboots, it powers on instantly without needing forceful input. It’s frustrating to figure out the problem, especially since I recently had my power supply disassembled because a small screw got inside. I haven’t experienced any sudden shutdowns, crashes, or blue screens lately, and the unit feels stable overall.
What PSU are you employing? I've experienced a comparable situation where repeatedly pressing the power button wasn't enough for my PC to boot, but once I switched to a more dependable model, the issue disappeared. It seems the previous 230W unit might have been faulty or low-quality.
I'm using an Asus ROG Thor power supply, which is a solid device. It works perfectly at startup. I'm hoping it will automatically turn on when needed. I suspect the issue might be with the power switch, though I'm not certain.
Which motherboard are you employing? Is it compatible with ERP?
You can verify the theory by connecting the pin directly to the full PC specifications.
I prefer not to verify that idea, but I own a direct motherboard power switch.
It's rare but possible for incompatibility to occur even with top-tier hardware. To begin troubleshooting, consider using a different power unit first.
Checked the chipset drivers first, then proceeded to update the BIOS. Refer to the Gigabyte guide for detailed steps.
