I have my setup as described: Mobo model Asus Rog Strix B350f. CPU is Ryzen 5 1500x. RAM is Adata xpg spectrix d40 with 16GB at 3000MHz. GPU is GTX 1050ti. Power supply is Circle Raw 500W AIO, and cooler is Master Liquid 120L. Recently I began upgrading step by step. I started with the CPU and upgraded to Ryzen 7 5700x3d. Then I changed the BIOS from version 6042 to 6232 to match the new processor. After replacing the CPU, I powered on the system. During POST and bootup, the motherboard display showed a bright white LED instead of anything else, and the system didn’t start. There’s no output on the screen. I removed and reinserted the GPU, reset the BIOS by swapping the CMOS battery, and confirmed the CPU orientation matched the one I took out (arrow pointing to top left). Still nothing works. The GPU BIOS doesn’t have a custom setup. The power calculator says about 350W. I’m not sure what’s wrong. Thanks for your help. Appreciate it! P.S. This is my first post, so any mistakes are okay.

The main hardware concern appears to be the extremely low quality power supply unit. If that’s the case, you could also attempt installing a single stick of RAM in the proper slot (refer to the manual), reinstall the CMOS, and ensure the computer is completely unplugged from any power source for a short period before proceeding. Sometimes it may take some time before the system stabilizes.

It helped me by reducing the BIOS version from 6232 to 6042, which is the most compatible for my 5700x3d. After that, I replaced the old CPU with a new one. Then I swapped in a fresh CMOS battery and restarted the PC using HDMI. I didn't think these steps were important. Suddenly it all clicked perfectly!
