Device fails to power on despite BIOS activation.
Hello everyone. I've been trying various solutions but my system still won't boot. I can't even view the BIOS. When I press the power button, it just displays 'No signal.' I've double-checked the essentials: power is on, all cables are connected. Steps I've taken: switched cables (DVI to HDMI, HDMI to HDMI), used different monitors, changed RAM and booted with one stick, cleared CMOS. My friends helped too—one brought in a GPU (MSI 1050 Ti) which worked. At that time I thought my GPU was faulty, but it functioned on their machine. My specs are: Ryzen 7 2700X, MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX, EVGA GTX 970 (the model linked to the issue), 16 GB RAM, Fractal Design Integra 550W.
The Gtx 970 has reported graphics driver problems. See the discussion at the provided link for details.
There might be a method to retrieve an older driver, though accessing the BIOS seems challenging. It appears the GPU could still function as seen in another system with similar hardware.
Transfer the 970 to a different machine and then retrieve the driver from the GeForce archive.
