Device fails to identify Cat 8 cable connection.
I appreciate your patience while going through this frustrating experience. My PC’s motherboard is a Prime Z370-A. Previously, I ran Windows 10 Pro, but after a series of issues, I upgraded to Windows 11 due to growing problems. The switch from Cat 6 to Cat 8 was prompted by cable damage and frequent disconnections. I’ve attempted various fixes—rebooting, network settings, DNS cleanup, IP release, driver updates, and even tried BIOS options like the onboard devices method—but nothing resolved the issue. I also tried turning it on and off repeatedly. If you have any suggestions or alternative approaches, I’d really appreciate your help.
Checked the device manager and uninstalled the driver via that method. Clicked right to uninstall the device, then restarted the PC.
Have you considered swapping out the cable or checking it with different gear?
