Hey everyone, my friend is facing some issues with her Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop. It started freezing and resetting, then took a long time to load. After rebooting yesterday, it worked properly, but there were two folders locked with random letter names—one had many numbered folder names like 1025, 1030, etc., and the other contained files such as NDP40-KB2572078.exe. Today the computer suddenly bluescreens when starting in safe mode. The problem details include a BCCode of 7a and several BCP entries. She’s feeling confused and isn’t very tech-savvy, so she needs simple guidance. Thanks for any help you can offer, and feel free to share more info if needed.

No, I haven't made any changes to the laptop that might have led to this issue.

She’s been dealing with it for a few days, using it on some questionable streaming platforms. She might have also downloaded some files. I’m not very confident about the details. [edit] nor is she

I recommend considering reputable antivirus and antimalware solutions such as Bitdefender, Norton, Kaspersky, or Windows Defender.

Many viruses were detected with Avast! and malwarebytes uncovered several issues as well. My main worry is the limited storage on her hard drive—320GB total, but only a fraction is occupied except system files. The machine operates smoothly, yet roughly 60GB remains free. I’m unsure if this is caused by a recent reboot or leftover files.
