My computer often freezes during intense gaming sessions. Although the system continues to operate—fans continue spinning, for example—the display suddenly goes dark. I’ve already attempted replacing graphics cards and updating drivers, and I'm currently stuck trying to diagnose the problem. Can anyone suggest possible causes?
My system specifications are:
AMD Ryzen 5 1500X Quad-Core
Asus Prime B-350 motherboard
Nvidia GTX 1080 graphics card
16 GB of RAM
550W power supply
I've had a feeling about the power supply unit. I will test it with another one and provide an update. Additionally, ensure nothing is obstructing the PSU fans; overheating could cause it to fail, or the connections might become damaged. It’s best to use a separate power supply unit entirely.
My apologies for the previous oversight. I have included my processor specifications in my initial message, and I am confident that temperature levels are not a problem. I closely monitor them during gameplay, typically maintaining temperatures around 50 or 60 degrees Celsius.
