I'm experiencing a strange problem with my PC whenever an Ethernet controller is connected. It shows memory-related crashes or driver errors such as irql_not_less_or_equal, driver_irql_not_less_or_equal, Memory_Management, Critical_Structure_Corruption, kmode_exception_not_handled, among others. I've reinstalled drivers, installed older versions, used the Microsoft network driver, but the issue persists. It happens regardless of whether I connect an external Ethernet adapter or a dongle. The problem is consistent even with a different Aourus X670 Elite AX 1.1 and a Lenoove travel dongle. Disabling the Ethernet controller in BIOS resolved it. I've tried reinstalling Windows multiple times on different drives with no luck, and the BIOS is up to date. I've also flashed different Windows versions without success. Full specs: Ryzen 9 7950x, 32GB Vengeance RGB, 4800mhz, CL40 Aourus X670 Elite AX rev 1.1, Samsung 980 1TB, Zotac RTX 3090 OC, Seasonic 1300W PSU. I'm using Windows 11 22H2 and Windows 10, but nothing works.
Yes i have, no luck with the most recent and a version that is 2 months old.
This seems to be a peculiar motherboard problem. If you've tested both Windows 10 and 11 along with various drivers, it’s probably not a software issue. I lack sufficient understanding of how Ethernet controllers work with a motherboard to suggest a technical cause—anyone with deeper expertise would be better.
