Hi, I recently purchased a Sony A80J and connected it via HDMI to my computer. Everything seems to work properly, but once I turn off the TV, my computer starts lagging and makes noticeable disconnect sounds with a brief freeze. I attempted several fixes—disabling the TV in settings, using DDU, reinstalling drivers, and even switching to an older LG TV—but nothing resolved the issue. I’m thinking it might be related to the TV’s sleep mode. Have you encountered this problem before?

I've discovered a workaround by altering the HDMI signal format to standard, which seems to resolve the problem. However, this restricts the TV's functionality significantly, so I'm still hoping it will support the enhanced format. I suspect the issue might be with the HDMI cable itself, so I plan to purchase a 2.1 cable and test if that resolves the matter.

It might be the TV checking the PC via HDMI-CEC when it’s in standby mode. See if disabling this function on the TV resolves the issue for the HDMI connection.

I overlooked that too—I also attempted to disable it, which is labeled "Bravia Sync," but unfortunately it didn<|pad|> to not help.

The HDMI 2.1 cable isn't solving the problem. If anyone has another suggestion, I'd be glad to give it a try.

I encountered something unexpected, not linked to CEC. I had to turn off "Remote Start" in the network settings. Now I can't use a chromecast to control my TV, which is going to be a change!
