Received a new PC this Christmas from my brother. Initially, the network card failed with error code 10. After updating Windows, it worked, but after about ten days it returned the same issue and lost internet. I reinstalled Windows and it fixed, but then it happened again five days later. I tried rebooting and fixing it, but it was very slow and ended with a blue screen. I searched YouTube and Reddit but didn’t find a solution. I’m hoping someone can help so I can play games without worrying about the network dropping unexpectedly. Thanks in advance.

Tell me about your motherboard, CPU, and other important specs. Which Windows version are you using? Describe the devices connected via the network cable. Provide all the details you have!

your b550-f gaming is running on an amd ryzen 5 5600 with a 3060 graphics card and windows 11. you don’t have a router setup yet, but your parents already installed one.

Are you updating any device drivers or having Windows install them automatically? Visit the motherboard support site to download the necessary files.

I tried my best, but the issue persists. Might the motherboard be defective? Would you need to exchange it?

Initial changes to the Intel i225v NICs often introduced several issues, according to my understanding.
